The General Federation of
Women’s Clubs (GFWC), one of the oldest women’s volunteer
organizations, seeks to build global communities where people
unite in diversity and dedicate their service to changing lives.
GFWC celebrates the engagement of people of all backgrounds
and believes in fostering an inclusive, equitable climate and
culture where community members can thrive.
The GFWC Lake Wales Junior Woman’s Club is made up of working women, wives, and mothers of all ages and backgrounds who are dedicated to serving the needs of women, children, and those in need in Lake Wales. We are a part of the General Federation of Woman’s Clubs (GFWC), an international organization devoted to service, and GFWC Flori.
Our non-profit organization meets on the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the GFWC Woman's Clubhouse, 275 E. Park Ave., Lake Wales, and we encourage interested women to attend one of our meetings to become familiar with our local activities under the GFWC Community Service Programs
and Special Projects.

The GFWC Lake Wales Junior Woman's Club exists to promote the tradition of community service long practiced by the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) and (GFWC Florida). We host fundraisers each year, and our members are involved in numerous community service programs, including those dedicated to Arts & Culture, Civic Engagement & Outreach, Education & Libraries, Environment, Health & Wellness.
The General Federation of Women’s Clubs unites the best and brightest of today’s women into a strong coalition, nearly 80,000 strong, that promotes community improvement through volunteer service. The many benefits of belonging to a GFWC woman’s club include:
• Strength in unity – Members gain a stronger voice in shaping public issues through serving at the club, district, state, region and national levels.
• Support and encouragement – Membership offers a network of women with similar interests and concerns. Fun, fellowship, and lasting friendships are a big part of the GFWC experience.
• Leadership training and professional development – Training and community service can help open career doors, enhance a resume, obtain academic credit, or build a new business.

NATIONAL JUNIOR PLEDGE
“I pledge my loyalty to the Junior Club Women by doing better than ever before the work I have to do. By being prompt, honest, and courteous. By living each day trying to accomplish something, not merely to exist.”
